4 Tips for a Better Las Vegas Night Club Experience

By  Karina Popa   Certain Clubs Offer An Open Bar Or Give Free Drink Tickets Some nightclubs offer an open bar and provide guests with free drink tickets on nights that are not too busy. Most of these offers are for women though there are other clubs that also hand out drink tickets to men. As an example, when they go on a Wednesday to attend Light Nightclub, men and women alike can get free drink tickets. However, such perks are only given to guests that go inside the club as part of the guest list. They will not get any drink tickets if they bought a ticket. Tao and Marquee are two of the few nightclubs that have open bars for women. Tao offers this on Thursdays while Marquee does this on Mondays. However, guests have to be in the club ahead of time since open bars last for only an hour or so. Another club that offers an open bar is Lavo Party Brunch. Giving A Tip Does Not Let Them Enter The Club Faster It is better to keep the money. This is not to give a tip but rather disprove t

Your Metabolism And Fat Loss

If you know someone that has been trying to lose weight and get into shape, you have probably heard words such as, "I just eat one meal a day to lose weight" or "I'm afraid if I eat, I'll gain weight" but sadly, this misnomer is why so many people are in the "battle of the bulge". People all over the world still believe that eating breakfast, or even three meals a day will cause them to gain weight. In truth, as long as they are eating the right types of foods and exercising, then three normal meals or six small meals a day will actually work better with their metabolism than eating the wrong quantities or not eating often enough.  With more than half of Americans over the age of 20 now being considered "overweight", now more than ever, we need to understand how metabolism works in relation to losing weight. Why risk having a heart attack, a stroke, developing cancer, or diabetes when all you have to do is make a few minor changes and

It is home to approximately 4.8 million people, which is quite the impressive number. This large metropolis can be found just between the river mouths of Llobregat and Besos. It is also located along the Serra de Collsreola mountain range making for a beautiful view. This mountain range is 512 meters high at its highest peak. There is a lot to hear, do, and see in Barcelona, Spain which is why so many people find their way here for vacation. Are you a fan of soccer? Great! Barcelona is one of the best places to take in soccer. Do you enjoy sightseeing? Excellent. In Barcelona you can take in the sights of medieval times, old pavilions, and a variety of other architectural structures that are more than impressive. For the first time in 1999, Barcelona was awarded the Royal Gold Medal for architecture. Th

Weight Loss Helps Prevent Diabetes

The American Diabetes Association announced the findings of the comprehensive Diabetes Prevention Program. The DPP was conducted at over 25 medical centers nationwide and involved thousands of participants who volunteered to have their habits monitored and to follow dietary and exercise recommendations. All participants had been diagnosed with 'pre-diabetes', a condition where the blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not yet in diabetic ranges. Untreated, more than half of those people diagnosed with pre-diabetes will develop full-blown type 2 diabetes within a decade.  For the study, the participants were divided into two groups. One half were given dietary recommendations. The other half got the same dietary recommendations, plus the recommendation to exercise at least 30 minutes daily, five times a week.  The results? Those who included daily exercise in their routines and followed the diet recommendations cut their risk of developing diabetes by 58%. The reaso

Weight Loss At Work: Non-Food Rewards

The email comes out at noon. "To celebrate your hard work this week, there is cake and ice cream in the big kitchen at 3 today. Be there!" The universal reward for hard work always seems to be food: cake and ice cream, a catered lunch for in-service training sessions, pizza for the overtime crew, bagels and cream cheese to brighten up a bleak Monday morning. Food seems to be the perennial favorite for any kind of work reward because it is universally accepted. Some of us (we hard core dieters) may pass on the sweet stuff but usually find something allowable. In a world where two thirds of us are overweight or obese, is there nothing else available as a gift that cuts across all individual interests? Recently, we had a whole week at my company devoted to employee appreciation. The primary rewards were, of course, food but other things were added: a company baseball cap, a hiking water container, a lunch bag, and a handwritten note of thanks to every employee from their s

Weight Loss Advice For Men

If diet and weight are as important to health and wellbeing as experts believe, American men need to make changes to what they eat and how often they exercise. They are too overweight and suffer years of ill-health despite the fact that per capita health funding is the highest in the world. The statistics make interesting reading. First, an estimated 27.7 percent of American males aged 20-74 years are obese. By comparison, obesity affects 19 percent of Australian men, 12 percent of French men and only 3.6 percent of Japanese. Second, the average lifespan of American men is 74.9 years, (Japan 77.8) of which an estimated 8 years are lived in ill-health (Japan 6.5). Also significant are the negative health effects of the American diet on male immigrants from countries such as Japan, who typically experience a noticeable rise in diet-related illness such as obesity and heart disease. Health Effects of Obesity In Men Obesity has several adverse health effects. The most serious dangers

Fried Chicken Obsession

Why are people obsessed with Fried Chicken?  People just don't get enough! It brings me back to my childhood because Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes was one of my favorite meals. My mom did cook chicken sometimes but usually we had it more from take out. We would always have a huge pile of mashed potatoes (in fact, mashed potatoes is my dad's favorite dish and I have inherited the liking from him). How many types of fried chicken are there?  It really depends on where you’re from. In Texas, there’s only two kinds: deep fried and greasy, either on the bones or tenders. In Chicago, there’s a different version depending on what type of chicken the restaurant serves. Even the name of the dish—chicken fried or chicken n’ gravy—varies based on region. Gravy covered Fried Chicken over Noodles In Nashville you have the infamous Hot Chicken. Fried chicken covered in either dry rub heat or wet heat. You can get tenders or bone-in chicken as well. Make sure you have a nice milk shake t

Your Child & School Nutrition

Good Nutrition in School Can Help to Fight Childhood Obesity Perhaps you are trying to help your child lose weight, or you feel he or she may be in danger of becoming overweight or unhealthy because of their eating and exercise habits. If so, it is important that you consider the impact of your child’s time at school as you think about what you need to change. As the U.S. government has studied obesity, many of their agencies have produced reports and established guidelines to help parents and school systems understand how to make important changes. These guidelines are designed to encourage our children to eat healthy foods and get plenty of exercise. Across the country, schools are beginning to offer more good food choices, and look at their physical education and extracurricular activities to ensure that they encourage good habits. Of course your involvement and understanding is important if your child is going to get the right support while she or he is in school during

Tips and Tricks for Eating The Right Way - Fitness Chef

When you think about weight loss, what do you think of first? Which aspects of weight loss are important, which are essential, and which ones can you take or leave? You be the judge.   Once you begin to move beyond basic background information, you begin to realize that there's more to weight loss than you may have first thought.   It probably comes to you as naturally as breathing—the art of eating.  However, you might never have been taught to eat well.  This is critically important because, unless you learn to eat well, you may never master the art of dieting.  In our society, certain inappropriate eating habits have become routine.  By attacking these habits, you can increase the likelihood that you will actually lose weight.          To begin with, it is important that you learn to eat slowly.  At first, this might be quite a challenge.  We have been conditioned to live in a fast food world.  We rush meals in order to have time to run to soccer practice, to a piano recita
