Why are people obsessed with Fried Chicken?
People just don't get enough! It brings me back to my childhood because Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes was one of my favorite meals. My mom did cook chicken sometimes but usually we had it more from take out. We would always have a huge pile of mashed potatoes (in fact, mashed potatoes is my dad's favorite dish and I have inherited the liking from him).
How many types of fried chicken are there?
It really depends on where you’re from. In Texas, there’s only two kinds: deep fried and greasy, either on the bones or tenders. In Chicago, there’s a different version depending on what type of chicken the restaurant serves. Even the name of the dish—chicken fried or chicken n’ gravy—varies based on region.

Why do people love fried chicken? What makes us choose this food of all foods? Is it because fried chicken is simple? Yes, but that’s not the only reason people love fried chicken. Many people love it because one thing fried chicken brings to the table, it’s crunch. People love crispy, crunchy chicken parts. Some people love it because of it’s simplicity. Some people love fried chicken because it’s flavor. And as for me, I love fried chicken because of chicken’s versatility. I like to use chicken in all kinds of ways.
To fry—how delicious it sounds!
Fried chicken can be prepared in several ways depending on the preferences of people. Below are the most common and easiest ways you can make fried chicken:
Oven: You will season the chicken with spices and herbs and roast/bake it in an oven until the chicken reaches the preferred temperature for serving. This serves as a healthier alternative to cook fried chicken.
Pan Fry: Flour the chicken, season it with herbs and spices, and lay it in a little bit of oil in a pan. You will have to turn it to create an all around crisp. Cook until the inside is about 165 degrees F.
Deep Fry: Similar to pan fry except you are using more oil to submerge the chicken in once flour, spices, and herbs have been added. Submerge in oil for about 8-10 minutes per piece.
